TRAINING
At Pawsitive Pals we offer different types of training for your dog: Starting with Basic Obedience Training. From there we can prepare for AKC STAR puppy, or Canine Good Citizen (CGC) testing. Please note the cancellation policy listed below.
Special Issues Training/Behavior Modification - with Leeanna
Effective training is an on-going process of growth and understanding between you and your canine companion. I'll show you how each interaction with your dog builds upon and enhances desired behaviors. Whether you are having problems with leash pulling, excessive barking, aggression, or something else, we will create custom, success-focused dog training programs and then stay in close contact with you until you've achieved your goals. Basic Obedience Training
Basic obedience teaches core commands and behaviors: potty training, touch, sit, down, stay, recalls and 'go to your place'. We also cover curbing undesirable behaviors such as jumping up and biting. Sessions are tailored in accordance with your schedule and your dog's progress.
Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Preparation - With Sylvanna
CGC preparation is advanced obedience and leash work that would teach your dog the skills needed to earn the Canine Good Citizen title through AKC. Teach your dog to walk well on leash, greet other dogs and humans with good manners, and to not overreact to new experiences/stimuli. This is a good option for those who wish to see if their dog is a good candidate for service work. Ask to schedule with Sylvanna when inquiring.
CANCELLATIONS: We aim to be as flexible as possible and to work within your time constraints. Cancellation less than 24 hours before a scheduled appointment will be billed in full.
All required leashes, collars, clickers, training treats, bait bags, and other training equipment are to be supplied by the owner. Upon request, I can purchase the necessary items on your behalf in exchange for full reimbursement at the time of the first appointment.
Types of Trainings & Pricing: with LeeAnna ​

One Time / One-on-One Session (60 minutes) - $50.00 per dog
Working on specific owner issues including behavior or obedience issues.
4 Week Basic Obedience (Puppy & Adults) - $200.00 per dog
Basic obedience teaches the owner to work with their puppy or dog to do basic commands including, sit and stay, leash training, manners, and how to greet strangers appropriately. This can vary depending on the age of the puppy or dog.
6 Week Basic Obedience (Puppy & Adults) - $290.00
Basic obedience teaches the owner to work with their puppy or dog to do basic commands including, sit and stay, leash training, manners, and how to greet strangers appropriately. This can vary depending on the age of the puppy or dog.
*The additional time gives us more opportunities to work on specific challenges owners are having.
*The addition of an AKC Canine Good Citizen test or STAR Puppy Program (following a 6 week package) will be an additional $10.00.
Video Training Sessions (60 - 90 minutes) - $65.00
This is similar to the one time / one-on-one session via Zoom or Messenger.

2 Week Board and Train (14 Days) + Owner Consultation / Follow up - $1,150.00

Your dog(s) will stay with us and be worked with one-on-one with the trainer a minimum of 30 to 60 minutes per day learning obedience commands including, come, sit, stay, wait, off, leave it, and down to name a few as well as leash work. They will also be a part of our daycare program when possible. This also includes a consultation with the trainer to review all the dog(s) has/have learned and how to continue training at home as well as a detailed report card. (Military discount does not apply to board and train sessions.)

Day Training for Daycare Guests

Pre-scheduled one-on-one sessions with the dog and trainer (30 minutes) plus a written follow up is $25.00 for customers with daycare package purchase. Add daycare rate to the $25.00 without daycare package purchase.

Start Right Training: with Sylvana
Start Right Puppy Training - For puppies 8 - 16 weeks - 6 Week Program
-$270 Per Pup
Focuses on puppies first brought home between 8-12 weeks of age. Learn how to teach your puppy the correct way to meet other humans and other dogs in a polite manner. Each week, we will recap on skills introduced the week before prior to moving on. This is the
program to ask all those new puppy owner questions!
Basic Obedience - for dogs 4 months and up - 5 Week Program - $250 per Dog
Puppies or dogs that are fully vaccinated and can start being exposed to outside stimuli will work on basic commands all dogs should know and will be exposed to different distractions to help build confidence while working with their handler. You will be given the advice needed to mold your dog into a well-behaved member of your household.
CGC Prep Course For Dogs 6 months and older who have basic obedience skills in place - 5 Week Program - $300 (Includes CGC Test if desired)
Class for dogs who have a good start in obedience and leash walking who want to solidify the behaviors needed to pass the AKC Canine Good Citizen test. Many national therapy dog groups require this certification in order to proceed with therapy dog certification. The CGC test can be scheduled at the end of this course.

Additional Sessions to focus on specific areas of concern - $50

2 Week Board and Train (14 days) + Owner Consultation/Follow up - $1400 Per Dog
The 2 week board and train is a great option for owners who don't have a lot of spare time to work on solidifying some commands and behaviors. With this option, we can focus on a few problem areas or commands and get a good foundation set to follow up at home. Consistency and follow through is required for progress to continue and your dog to successfully understand the commands that were taught.
Per Session Training - $50
This option is for those that need just a little guidance to help get through some problem areas. I meet, discuss what needs to be worked on, and come up with a plan to improve the issue. Sessions can be scheduled as needed.
Daycare Obedience Add-On - $25 (Available Monday-Wednesday)
If your dog is approved for daycare, I can add on training while they are here! This is a great option to work on leash manners, distractions around other dogs, and recall. We may even be able to throw learning a new trick in!

*An additional travel fee of $10 will be added for trainings we do from anywhere other than Pawsitive Pals
